Stryker Vertebroplasty

Stryker Vertebroplasty is a minimally invasive treatment that relieves the pain associated with vertebral compression fractures. It is performed by specialists, including interventional radiologists, neuroradiologists, surgeons, and pain management physicians, and involves injecting bone cement into the vertebrae to stabilize the fracture. X-ray guidance is used to ensure accurate placement.

Stryker Vertebroplasty is safe and effective. The first vertebroplasty procedure was performed in France in 1984, and has been widely used in the United States since the mid 1990’s to treat spinal fractures. Relatively quick and simple to complete, Stryker Vertebroplasty is performed on an outpatient basis and results in a 90% or greater reduction in pain.
